The Power of Content Repurposing
Podcasters, speakers, and coaches juggle many responsibilities in the fast-paced digital age, where content is king. While busy schedules make crafting and managing content hard, there's hope! In this blog post, we'll delve into the everyday challenges podcasters, speakers, and coaches face and lay out what you need to do to make your content more effective. As always, with all things TCG, the goal is to help you unlock the power of content with support and organization with your content strategy, including how to get started, simplified workflows, and tips for creating content calendars.
Content Challenges for Podcasters, Speakers, and Coaches
The Time Crunch
Imagine this: you're a popular podcaster, and your episodes release like clockwork. Or you’re a coach who is KNOWN for getting client breakthroughs. Maybe you have a schedule packed with speaking engagements or conferences to attend. Here’s the thing: you keep getting busier, but your to-do list keeps growing, and there's just not enough time to prep, deliver, and share every episode, coaching lesson, or speaking engagement. And then there’s just basic marketing to keep your audience growing and nurtured… Sound familiar? Time constraints are the bane of our existence, but we all have the same 24 hours, and yet you want to create quality content, but life's demands can be relentless.
Burnout Lurks Around the Corner
Content creation can be a relentless grind. So much that I frequently call it what you might be feeling, “the content hamster wheel.” You’re just run run run run running to keep up with all the trends or sharing all you’re doing, but you’re running yourself ragged doing it. TCG clients often come to us when they’re on the brink of burnout. They want to do it all but they just can’t keep up.
Limited Resources + No Content Strategy = Frustrated
There's no concrete content strategy in place, even though you're a dedicated coach, probably working alone or with a small team. You've got limited resources, and expectations are high for top-notch content.
Say Hello to Content Repurposing
The Content Relief You’re Looking For
Content repurposing is a breath of fresh air that, as busy creatives, we NEED. The best part about content repurposing is it's not about reinventing the wheel; it's about making the most of what you've already created. Content repurposing is adapting your existing content into different formats, content types, content themes, or for various platforms.
Get OFF The Hamster Wheel
What makes content repurposing such a game-changer? It plays well with hectic schedules. Repurposing allows you to breathe new life into existing gems instead of constantly churning out new content (on that hamster wheel). It’s like having an ever-flowing source of inspiration, so you never have to hunt for new ideas tirelessly.
Work SMARTER; Not Harder
Repurposing isn't just a time-saver; it's an efficiency booster. Changing your content can help you reach a wider audience and reinforce your message. This can lead to increased engagement, broader visibility, and more success on the internets.
The Content Repurposing Workflow
Assessment: The Starting Point
Before diving into the world of content repurposing, take stock of your existing content. Identify your top-performing pieces, those that could use a refresh, and potential gaps in your content strategy. This assessment will serve as your compass, guiding you in the right direction.

Repurposing Ideas: Unleash Your Creativity
Now, the fun begins. Brainstorm creative ways to repurpose your content. A blog post can become a podcast episode; a webinar can be sliced into bite-sized social media videos. Let your creativity flow and discover new dimensions within your content.

Distribution Planning: Cast Your Content Wider
Once you've transformed your content, it's time to plan its distribution. Identify the platforms where your repurposed content will shine. Tailor your approach to each platform's unique audience and requirements, ensuring maximum impact.

Streamline with Tools and Techniques
Efficiency is the name of the game. Utilize tools and techniques that streamline the repurposing process. Content management platforms, social media schedulers, and video editing software can be your trusty companions on this journey.

Content Calendar Tips
Batching: The Time-Saving Miracle
Batching is a lifesaver in almost every case, I mean, who doesn’t like to reap the reward of being ahead of the game? I suggest dedicating specific days or times to create content in bulk. Whether recording podcast episodes, writing blog posts, or shooting videos, batching minimizes interruptions and maximizes productivity. I also have my clients set up a shared drive folder of B-Roll to use for Reels and TikTok content. To do this, I ask them to record quick video clips throughout their daily life here and there. Some examples could be:
Atmospheric: you’re establishing where you are. Best uses: for travel, showing an in-person event, signage, on train/plane (recording out of the window), a panning shot of a view.
Undirected: these are the things that are happening around you. Examples: cars passing by, birds flying over, people walking in the street, everyday activities.
Visual Detail: the camera is focused on taking in sharp details and movements. Creators often use this footage to direct attention to details the audience might have missed.
Storytelling: narrative supporting video. Examples: this week’s podcast episode is about breathing practices so we use some broll footage of my client doing breathwork with the audio of her podcast over it to give people a glimpse of this week’s episode.
Planning Ahead: The Key to Consistency
You’ll never hear me tell you to post on the fly; it’s just really not my style. The best content strategy is a consistent one. However, we get to choose what that consistency looks like for us. There are a few types of consistency: first, consistency in your messaging; second, consistency in your cadence; and finally, there’s consistency in your results. If you don’t have a plan, you lack consistency, plain and simple. You can plan your content calendar for weeks or even months ahead; the choice is yours, but the key is that you need a plan. This reduces the stress of last-minute content creation and a steady flow of fresh material and ensures that you stay consistent in your messaging, cadence, and results.
Stay Organized: Tools at Your Fingertips
Now, I would NEVER tell you to do all this work and think all of the content through if I didn’t ALSO give you the tools to do it better. I use various digital tools and apps to stay organized and rely on them heavily to bring my client’s strategies to life. These are some of my favorite apps to help you seamlessly manage your content creation and distribution.
