10 Prompts to Repurpose your Content with ChatGPT

If you've been on my website for more than 3 minutes or consumed any of my content in the past, you'll know that I'm a BIG fan of working smarter, not harder. Realistically, who isn't thought? With AI now on the scene, many things are easier and faster to create, including content marketing.

ChatGPT has become my best friend in content creation. You can talk to it like you would talk to a human, ask it questions, or follow up on something you previously prompted it with. However, what I love about my AI bestie the most is that it has really upped my repurposing game and allowed me to bring my content to more corners of the internets. So, without dragging this out anymore, here are my top 10 prompts for repurposing content with ChatGPT.

Helpful ChatGPT Tips:

  • Build on your chats instead of starting new each time. This means categorizing your chats by topic or by task. For example, I'm a marketer, so I have a chat for each of my clients so that I can go back to a specific chat based on my client and their niche, audience, and messaging. Podcasters, speakers, and coaches could apply this same strategy in ChatGPT by having specific chats for market research and topic exploration, outlining and copywriting, and email strategy.

  • Copy and paste is your friend. You DO NOT have to do all the prompting yourself. You can copy and paste these prompts directly into ChatGPT.

  • ChatGPT is your STARTING point. You'll still need to put your special sauce into the content AI helps you create. DO NOT copy + paste + post.

1. Email Newsletters

Your email list is your DIRECT LINE to your audience. They have ASKED to hear from you, and there are no algorithms in your way of showing up in their inboxes. The point is you NEED to email your audience. Keep in touch with them, and share what you're doing, creating, and your expertise. Here's how I use AI to help me write my newsletters for myself and my clients.

Here’s the prompt:

I am a [what do you do for a living ] and I need to repurpose an existing article for my newsletter. My audience is composed of [who is your audience.] The newsletter should be [you can add your details here such as the length of the newsletter – long, short, etc.,] have a [what tone should be used] tone, and include a CTA at the end.

Also, provide me with number high-converting email subject lines that I can use for the newsletter at the end.

2. Easy Infographics or carousels

Sometimes, you just need to be told what to do or how to break things down, which is one of the simplest ways to use AI. If you're not incorporating graphics in your content, this prompt is your sign to start!

Here’s the prompt:

I am a [what do you do for a living] and I need to create an infographic based off on an article I previously wrote.

The audience is composed of [who is your audience.]

Provide visuals and highlight information from the article that I can use for each section in the infographic.

3. Video scripts

If content is King, the video is Queen. Let AI help you figure out what to say or how to turn your content into an engaging video.
